Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for her A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she stated that she regrets not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman worked with a group named In Yer Space at her school. The group presented Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was well-received by the audience, and the show received favorable reviews. Coleman got the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. The British Soap Awards nominated her as best newcomer. In the National Television Awards, she was also nominated as the most popular newcomer. In 2009, she was awarded nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was awarded her TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman was set to play the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her for the role because she worked most effectively with Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model.
